GDPR compliance: How to anonymize and erase guest data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), individuals have the right to request that their personal data be erased or anonymized when applicable.

If one of your customers requests the removal of their personal data, you should ensure that this is handled across all the systems you use, including TrekkSoft.

In TrekkSoft, you can anonymize guest and buyer data by going to the Guests & Buyers section under Bookings. This process cannot be undone. According to our GDPR assessment, anonymization has the same effect as deletion, as the personal data is rendered permanently unidentifiable.

You can anonymize one particular guest/ buyer via search field and use the action "anonymize".

Or if you need to anonymize several guests/buyers, you can do that in bulk, by using the checkboxes at the left side to select and use the anonymize button on top right of the page. 

This guest data gets anonymized in Guest details, basket details and reports.
