Componental Taxes Feature

We've added to our existing Taxes Feature the Componental Taxes.

Thanks to this new taxes, you'll be able to sell an activity that consists of different parts like Transportation, Guiding and Food then there are different tax rates that apply, but this activity would be sold for one price. This requires existing clients to change their tax settings and pricing and all new clients need to setup this correctly at the beginning.

How to create Taxes?

  • Go to: Settings -> Checkout, Taxes & Fees -> Taxes & Fees tab -> Add New Tax/Fee button
  • 2 options: Inclusive or Compounding (both work with Componental tax feature)
  • Check Componental option (and decided whether the Tax is Inclusive or Compounding) and hit on Save

How to add Taxes to Activity?

  • Create Activity/go to existing Activity, hit on Taxes tab and add previously created Componental Taxes (the order does not matter) and click on Save

How to create Price Components?

  • Within an activity, go to Schedule, create/select a Schedule and add/edit Price Categories
  • Under Price tab, activate the feature by checking "Is your activity taxed with different taxes?" Box
  • Specify Price Components (what is the price of each component) and Save
  • Note that the overall sum of all components needs to equal to the total price (if a portion of the activity is not taxed at all then create a Tax for that component with 0 %)

How do these taxes work with Accommodation?

  • You can add them, on the same way you did for your activities. Add a price to them that summing up equals the accommodation total price.
